Stress is phenomenon of modern life, but what is it?
A simple explanation to describe what happens on a biological level, would be anything that sends our body into a "fight or flight" response. The "fight or flight" response is our key protective response. It stimulates our nervous system, our hormones and our immune system to activate to protect the body. If this response is continually triggered without adequate recovery time, our protective resources become depleted or non-responsive.
